Hey, it's Marina travel experta. Today we're going to be talking about having a lease for your non lucrative visa for Spain. Are you guys ready for an adventure? Let's begin. So it has been like this common misconception that you need to have a year lease for when you apply for your apartment for the visa.
So here's the thing, guys. Getting a lease in Spain is really hard. A lot of times they want all this money upfront, and usually they do want to see that you already have your non lucrative visa. So it's kind of a catch 22. So you can definitely maybe figure out how you could do that.
If you're buying a house, obviously it's not a problem. Then maybe work with a lawyer to figure out if you could give an address. Also airbnb. Maybe find an airbnb.
But the problem is, here's the real problem. You really don't know when you're going to actually get there. That's the real issue, right? Because you don't know when you're going to be accepted and approved. And what if you're not approved? None of this is refundable and returnable, so there are ways to go around it.
So I would really recommend figuring that out. Maybe just getting some random address and having a letter written or something. There are creative ways around it. But do not spend your money on leases yet, because what if you don't? Chances are you will get the approval, but you never know.
And you don't want to be losing all of that money because they are all non refundable. So you could say that your goal is this particular place, this particular city, but you are waiting until you get the approval. And believe it or not, a lot of people have been getting their visas okay with that as well. You do not need that. It is not a mandatory thing as it used to be.
Maybe at one point it's not anymore. If you guys enjoyed this episode, please leave me a review, share it with your friends, and remember to make every day an adventure.
